PEOPLE’S YOGA CERTIFIED teACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

blue.png

Become a certified yoga teacher, inspire your inner innovator, and leave with the tools and confidence to take action.

INSPIRED ACTION

You will learn to lead group classes and be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 Level, but this is just the beginning.

More than becoming certified to teach, you will reconnect with your power, realign with your core values, gain the clarity to move towards your goals, and develop the confidence to take action.

As former athletes turned entrepreneurs, Lauren and Leah started People’s Yoga with zero business and have learned that the most important step is to get started. Together the two bring over 20 years of experience and will share their best practices and lessons learned - from systems and organization to finding your place and leading with confidence.

You will grow your personal practice, deepen your understanding and awareness of yoga, and leave inspired to take action.

WHY WORK WITH US?

GREAT QUESTION!

Southern California is saturated with plenty of options to choose from. So why get certified with People’s Yoga?

1. We keep our cohorts small (under 25) so that you can get individualized attention, support and one-on-one time

2. We focus on social entrepreneurship and support you with taking your wellness ideas from concept to action

3. We keep in touch after the 12 week program, and offer our alumni opportunities to network, teach and stay connected

4. We use storytelling as the foundation of confidence building and leadership

5. We are invested in your success beyond the program, and do our best to help you get out of your comfort zone and into your heart space so that you can be re-inspired and ready to take action in your community.

6. We want you to choose the right program! If we do not think we’re a good fit, we’ll recommend a different program.

What Our Graduates Are Saying

Testimony from Diane Ojeda:

“I gained so much more than the ability to teach and practice yoga. More than anything, People’s Yoga teacher training opened my heart to the importance of community, mindfulness and building a stronger sense of self. Leah and Maya are the most incredible maestras with a commitment to creating a culture of community and a learning environment in which you feel safe, heard and valued. I had never thought about teaching before, but I am so glad I decided to do this training because I soon realized that this is exactly where I was supposed to be. It almost became this self discovery journey and the practice and study never ends. My heart is so full and I wish I could do it again!”

Testimony from Amy LeVoir:

“Before I started the training I was super nervous. I was afraid I wouldn't be good enough at yoga, and I was afraid to teach and use my voice. This training gave me a safe space to speak up and find my confidence. The three day retreat was definitely the highlight. I loved all of the topics we covered. Asana, ayurveda, breathing, and using our voice. Over the last 14 weeks I have become significantly more confident. I feel like I trust myself more, and I feel like I have something valuable I can share with others. I would recommend this training to anyone looking to connect to themselves. You do not have to become a yoga teacher to benefit.”

Testimony from Laurie Muniz:

“This training has inspired me to want to give back to my community , specifically to our youth and our elders . This experience has also helped me rediscover my passion for teaching . Leah and Maya's guidance throughout this training made me feel inspired , grounded and loved after every session. Leah's instruction through storytelling and voice helped me find my roots and my inner voice. The love and passion Leah has for storytelling and leading with intention, love , truth and creativity was so inspiring . This part of the training helped me share my story, even the scary stuff to say out loud , to believe in myself and that my story and representation matters. Maya’s guidance were always taught with love, encouragement, knowledge and giving space to explore our journey through our practice. Maya's love for sharing her knowledge and wisdom was also so inspiring and the way she guided us in the readings about ancient yogic texts, the foundations of asanas, yoga philosophy, and Ayurvedic nutrition has helped me have a better understanding of Yoga and the importance of daily practice. Every instructor and guest were so amazing, inspirational and it feels like family. I highly recommend this Yoga teacher training to everyone who wants to deepen their yogic knowledge and practice and to grow in a safe nourishing environment.”
